let's all feel sorry for the guy at my work who was probably pretty proud of his V6 mustang...
...until someone went and bought a FiST.

Nope, some times the 'less desirable' engine is where it's at. I had a 4 banger wrangler tj and loved it. Those little 2.5L AMC 150 engines were damn near bulletproof and I always thought a lighter jeep was more fun to hoon around snowy roads. Sucked at highway speeds and you had to downshift for some hills but f it, it's a jeep.

I think all Jeeps suck at highway speeds. If they don't then the'yre not a true jeep!

Fellow 4 banger jeep owner. That is an amazing engine that I beat on and always stays cool. Hills are awful but offroad where it counts no one can tell the difference

If we feel sorry for anyone it should be the people who bought the v8 2010's and got the old engine and not the 5.0

Only problem that engine ever gave me was a cracked manifold but it was a great excuse to put a header on. The brakes on the other hand tried to kill me, rusted out break lines are no fun, but I blame the NE salty roads.

V6 stanger here! They're cheaper, generally produce healthy torque, parts are dirt cheap, and a simple LSD swap makes it incredible fun! I bought my 2000 v6 for 2 grand, another 1500 of brakes, suspension, tuner, exhaust, LSD/geared rear end, and it's freaking FUN. Just not fast
(Now that said, the 4.0 is not my fav engine)

I drive a Cavalier. It's probably very fast in comparison. Not sure what I want next once my finances sort out. I am thinkin V6 Mustang or maybe some old slow 80's/70'd yatch ala cletus44

Yupp, have a friend with one. Got it, put a ton of money into it, and the 5.0 came out. Its still nice, but not as nice as it could be.

If I had fun in my 150 hp 98 rustang, 210 hp should be even more fun. Just add an LSD and it should be a blast to drive.

Do you know what year 'Stang it is? The 2011+ got the aluminum 3.7 v6 making 305hp.

No one is sorry for the Mustang guy. The Mustang is a better car than the FiST.

My 07 V6 has been a pretty good car for me. I was really hesitant to buy one because I've owned two SN95 GTs and I was apprehensive about downsizing by two cylinders, but it checked all the boxes I was interested in at the time (less than $10,000, fairly new, reliable, readily available parts, RWD, and manual). I definitely wouldn't call it "fast" but it's a fairly fun car for what it is, drives well, and I do really like the looks of S197s.
Now to just swap a Coyote into it...

I've never sat in a Fiesta but I'm a bigger guy and I think I'd like driving the Mustang more.

V6 Mustang is the best. Specially if compared to a fwd car.
